David McLagan, along with co-authors Kyla Tienhaara, and Myra J. Hird published an article in Canada’s National Observer today titled “Weasel words and the age of climate delay”.

The article notes the rise of institutional and multi-national climate “delayism” and even points out efforts at COP28 to insert weasel words like “unabated”. This type of language is linked to false narratives about technologies like carbon capture, utilization and storage.
